The Power of Innocence
Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:47AM I think for the first time, the Doodle Project is starting to see some common threads between doodles and a profession. Or it could be a certain mind set during lectures of a similar topic, that topic being feng shui.
I received an sweet and powerful doodle from another feng shui student, Sara, who attends the same class as the previous doodle I posted. First, I have to address that this drawing is so good, you might say it's not a doodle. But per my definition of a doodle, I have a feeling that this feng shui artist tends to draw flowers and circles a lot. So despite the graphic quality of her doodle, I see that it is quite meditative and subconscious.
The common thread between feng shui students so far is the heart-filled ideas flowing from the main subject's head. The feeling that I get from this particular doodle is that this gifted person is standing on top of the world and is beginning to realize how empowered she really is, but hasn't yet decided know how to channel it.
The sunflower she is standing on is so strong, despite the few petals that the little girl has apparently plucked away. The stem, leaves, heart and petals show no sign of weakness. The questioning, innocent, ribbon-clad girl with adorable pin-dot eyes seems surprised by her ability to cultivate the petals into little love thoughts waiting to be spread.
I think the author of this doodle is on her way to do a lot of good, once she decides how she wants to do it. Also, based on the doodles coming out of their classes (I have yet another to post), I have to say that this particular school of feng shui seems to be teaching postive, empowering, mind-expanding lessons.
