Arabian Desert (click to enlarge)
This was drawn by the same Real Estate Guy #1(can you tell by his style?) I love this doodle with its folding, flowing planes and embedded palm tree. Like the first one, it's very sensual. I call it Arabian Desert because I see flowing fabrics, tents, palm trees....and no, I'm not smoking anything!
Monday, February 2, 2009 at 10:46PM Errol Spiro comes from the same stock as the two Original Inspiring Doodles. His doodles aren't quite as, um...sophisticated as theirs, but they are hilarious. And he does have the gift of humour. What's interesting about Errol is that I worked next to him for over a year and he always doodles these same faces, with very Freudian cigars/boobs/you-name-it.
His faces are happy-go-lucky and match his personality wonderfully. This man definitely sees the lighter side of life, which is refreshing. He is a brilliant businessperson, but doesn't take himself too seriously, which is probably why he's so successful.
Now the funny part of this particular doodle is the variety of acid-tripp-y, psychedelic faces floating and framing the page. Either very Teletubbies or very Keith Richards, Errol's floating faces evoke an underlying, infectious giddiness. Note the purchase prices and contract information, Errol was clearly on the phone talking with someone about a project...I'm not sure if he really liked this person too much--do you see his comment on the lower right: "Schmaltz?"
